Wafaq-23
Wafaq Wheat
Wafaq is a recently approved wheat variety (2023) by the National Agricultural Research Centre (NARC). It is recommended for cultivation in both irrigated and non-irrigated areas. However, it performs best under irrigated conditions, with a maximum yield potential of 60–70 mounds per acre.
This variety requires less water and fewer fungicide applications due to its strong resistance to rust. Its plant height supports lodging resistance, and its excellent tillering capacity contributes to achieving high yield potential.
