Kissan 1509 Basmati Variety
The 1509 Basmati variety was approved for cultivation by the Rice Research Institute in 2016. It produces rice grains that are longer than those of Kainat Basmati and are excellent for cooking. With a harvest period of just 95 days, this variety is also suitable for making parboiled rice. Late sowing is recommended to achieve optimal grain quality. After cooking, the length of its rice grains reaches up to 16.6 mm.
